Starting mid-2024, compliance with UN R 155 will be mandatory for homologation. Elektrobit proactively addressed this by conducting a project-independent threat and risk analysis on their AUTOSAR-based product portfolio, focusing on assumed cybersecurity assets. The analysis confirmed that the protective measures required by UN R 155 are fully supported by AUTOSAR's specified functions. Consequently, AUTOSAR provides all necessary functionalities to ensure the implementation of cybersecurity-compliant ECUs.
