The UG-ET is publishing three new training curricula covering AUTOSAR Classic Platform Basic, AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform Basic, and Timing and Tracing.
The curricula provide a common foundation for the respective topics and serve as a reference for further AUTOSAR training activities.
With the publication of these curricula, AUTOSAR aims to improve the comprehensibility and accessibility of the topics covered. Publicly available training curricula provide interested parties with transparent guidance and establish a foundation for high-quality training content.
The curricula describe the topics and learning objectives that may be addressed in the respective basic training courses. Training providers may use the curricula voluntarily as a reference when developing or structuring their own training offerings. This creates a common technical foundation while still allowing flexibility in the design of individual training courses.
The curricula will be available as publicly accessible references for interested parties and training providers. They support a structured introduction to key AUTOSAR topics and can serve as a basis for further learning paths and training offerings.
AUTOSAR Classic Platform Basic
The AUTOSAR Classic Basic curriculum covers the fundamentals of the Classic architecture and the AUTOSAR methodology. It focuses on functional and technical software architecture, the AUTOSAR Layered Software Architecture, and the central building blocks of a Classic system.
Participants will receive an overview of software components, interfaces, runnables, events, and the Virtual Functional Bus. Another key focus is the interaction between Application Software (ASW) and Basic Software (BSW) via the Runtime Environment (RTE). In addition, important BSW concepts such as the operating system, I/O, communication, mode management, memory management, and diagnostics are covered.
AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform Basic
The AUTOSAR Adaptive Basic curriculum introduces the fundamentals of the Adaptive Platform and its key architectural principles. In particular, it addresses the differences between AUTOSAR Classic and AUTOSAR Adaptive.
The main topics include the Adaptive Platform, applications, execution management, and service-oriented communication. Other fundamental concepts covered include services and interfaces, persistency, diagnostics, update management, and the execution and supervision of applications.
Timing and Tracing
The third curriculum focuses on the timing behavior and runtime analysis of AUTOSAR systems. It covers fundamental concepts such as latency, jitter, response time, and execution time, as well as the importance of time bases and synchronization.
Another focus is placed on event chains and the mapping of runnables, tasks, and events. Tracing makes it possible to analyze execution and communication sequences and to identify timing issues and potential bottlenecks.
