AUTOSAR and iSOFT Announce Major CAPI Contribution to Accelerate SDV and AIDV Deployment

The AUTOSAR Partnership and iSOFT announced a significant contribution to the Common Adaptive Platform Implementation (CAPI) at the 17th AUTOSAR Open Conference (AOC) in Shanghai.

The contribution represents an important milestone in AUTOSAR’s evolution from a specification-centric standard toward an executable, implementation-driven software platform for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) and AI-Defined Vehicles (AIDV).

CAPI is designed to accelerate interoperability, integration, and deployment of AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform solutions by providing executable platform components aligned with the AUTOSAR specifications. The contribution from iSOFT includes production-oriented Adaptive Platform software components and integration capabilities supporting centralized compute architectures, service-oriented communication, and modern automotive software development workflows.

The contribution enables:

  • Faster integration and deployment of AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform solutions

  • Improved interoperability across OEMs, suppliers, semiconductor platforms, and tools

  • Alignment with modern CI/CD, DevOps, and MLOps development approaches

As the automotive industry transitions from SDV toward AIDV, the need for executable standards, reusable software foundations, and ecosystem-wide collaboration continues to increase. CAPI addresses these challenges by complementing AUTOSAR specifications with implementation-oriented assets supporting real-world deployment.

A live demonstration at the 17th AUTOSAR Open Conference will showcase CAPI software running on an automotive ECU with Ethernet-based service communication and Adaptive Platform functionality.
