The Q3 AUTOSAR UG-CN and WG Exchange Meeting was held successfully online on September 24. Mr. Jing Zhe, AUTOSAR China Representative, opened the event, welcoming the community and highlighting the platform's role in fostering collaboration.
Ms. Echo Wang Lu from the AUTOSAR China Hub shared global updates and announced that the 17th AUTOSAR Open Conference in 2026 will be held in Shanghai, inviting active participation from Chinese partners.
On the technical front, Mr. Qian Jiamin detailed the R25-11 specification roadmap, focusing on platform adaptability and development efficiency. Key advancements in hardware collaboration and security were highlighted, including new concepts like DMA Driver and AP Crypto Rework to address SDV needs.
Mr. Cedric Wang of WG Bridge CN reported progress on incorporating Chinese industry requirements - such as those for OS abstraction and Hypervisor - into the global AUTOSAR standard process.
The meeting also featured international perspectives. Mr. Richard Huber introduced the work of WG-IVC on in-vehicle communication standards, while Mr. Martin Lunt presented the collaborative Automotive API project with COVESA, aimed at creating unified data interfaces for the software-defined vehicle era.
The exchange provided attendees with substantial insights into AUTOSAR's latest developments, reinforcing the community's shared commitment to advancing automotive software technology.
